NC delegation off to India
A fourteen-member delegation of the National Council led by the Chairperson Sonam Kinga leave for an eight-day parliamentary visit to India tomorrow on the invitation of the Government of India. Members of the delegation include Chairpersons of the Foreign Relations Committee and Economic Affairs Committee of the National Council.
This will be the first foreign parliamentary visit after the recent elections. This goodwill visit is intended to further strengthen Indo-Bhutan friendship. It is also part of the ongoing exchanges between two parliaments.
During the visit, the delegation will call on the Speaker of Lok Sabha and Minister of External Affairs. The delegation will also attend a three-day seminar organized by the Bureau of Parliamentary Studies and Training.
