Bhutan ready for SAFF championship

Bhutanese Football Association (BSA) has announced 20 men squad for upcoming eighth SAFF championship, which is scheduled to being in Kathmandu on 31 August. The team will reach Kathmandu on 26 August. The tournament will end on 11 September.

The 20-men squad includes three goalkeepers and five defenders. The goalkeepers are Leki, Hem Lal and Migma Tshering and the defenders are Pema Rinchen, Dawa Gyeltshen, Nim Sangay, Monach Gurung, Karan Gurung and Pema.

The midfielders of the Bhutanese team include Passang Tshering, Tshering Dorji, Thinley Dorji, Biran, Chencho, Ratu, Upay and Sonam Yeozer and the forwarders are Yeshey Dorji, Chencho Gyeltshen and Sonam tenzin.

The BSA is yet to announced the name of the team captain. Pema had been leading Bhutanese squad in the past tournaments.

Bhutan will play the first match on 2 September against Afghanistan.
