An annual sports event entertained the Bhutanese living in Louisville, Kentucky last weekend. A total of ten teams, including one from Nepalese community, played soccer matches for two days.
Besides semi finals and final of the soccer matches on second day, the organiser Bhutanese Society of Kentucky included other sporting events like balloon fighting, hundred meter race for boys and girls and musical chair for adult females. The event also saw music and dance performances.
The Rangeland apartment team lifted the soccer trophy beating Maplewood apartment in penalty shoot out after they ended in draw during scheduled time.
Prakash Mainali of Bannon Crossings was named the most valuable player and Kamal Khanal of Rangeland disciplined player.
BSK has been organising the annual sports to encourage young players and sports fan show their talents, engage in creative activities and boost their morality.
