A big day of Nepali literature in Connecticut

The Organization of Bhutanese Communities in America (OBCA), in collaboration with Bhutanese Community of Hartford, Connecticut and Bhutanese Creative Group of Springfield, Massachusetts, plans for a day-long symposium on Nepali literature.

This mega event has been scheduled for October 26 in Connecticut.

According to the press statement issued by organisers, OBCA will honor literary stalwarts of the community in recognition of their contribution towards Nepali literature.

Sessions and discussion on Nepali literature and cultural programmes are will also form part of the program.

The symposium is supported by Global Bhutanese Literary Organization (GBLO), Bhutanese Creative Connecticut, USA, White Himal Television, Bhutan Lekhak Munch, Gajal Munch Bhutan, International Nepali Literary Society-New York Chapter, BhutaneseLiterature.com, Rubai Munch Bhutan and BhutaneseArtist.com.

Writers and lovers of Nepali literatures from Nepal and countries were Bhutanese exiles have been resettled are expected to attend the symposium.

The organisers aim for preservation, promotion and development of Nepali literature in today’s context.

“To the end, we request every Nepali and Bhutanese community members around the world to extend your support to this program by either participating in person at the program or by viewing this program live,” the organisers have said.
