Late Ganjalal cremated in Adelaide as per Rai culture

The last cremation of Late Gangalal Rai was performed according to family cultures at the Acacia Chapel in Enfield Memorial Park on October 17.

Over 100 community members in South Australia joined the family to conduct the last rites. He was buried as per Rai culture.

Born in 1925 in Dhauladanda in Gaylegphug to Kharga Singh Rai and Lachi Maya Rai, Ganjalal passed away on October 8 while undergoing treatment at Modbury Hospital.

He along with other family members arrived in Australia under third country resettlement in January 2012 after spending 20 years of refugee life in Beldangi II Extension camp. He has two sons, a daughter and six grand children.

Bhutan News Network prays that the departed soul rests in peace in heaven and expresses condolences to the bereaved family members and relatives in South Australia and across the globe.
