Bhutanese media professionals to visit India

Bhutanese media professionals have received invitation from India’s external affairs ministry to visit India this month as part of efforts to familiarise and enable them to understand the working of the Indian media industry.

Coordinated by Bhutan Media Foundation (BMF), Bhutanese team of editors, senior journalists and radio jockeys from private media groups will visit New Delhi and Chennai from November 16 to 24.

Besides the opportunity to interact with Foreign Secretary Sujatha Singh and representatives of Indian media houses, the team will also be visiting important landmarks such as the UNESCO World Heritage Site at Mahabalipuram and Kalpakkam Atomic Power Station, statement issued by the BMF says.

They will also visit important institutions such as Parliament, Asian Institute of Journalism at Chennai, and the Infosys campus.
