ABAC to celebrate national day

Australia-Bhutan Association of Canberra (ABAC), the organisation formed by Bhutanese students coming to Australia for higher studies, plan to celebrate national day (December 17) on Saturday (December 21).

According to the organiser, the celebration has been pushed to weekend to make it easy for all students to attend.

Students who finished their studies and are going back to country will get a farewell. Few executives and volunteers of ABAC who finished studies and are going back will be awarded certificates for their service in the organisation. Bhutanese living in Canberra, members and non-members of ABAC, were also invited to attend the dinner.

Canberra is one of the hotspots in Australia where Bhutanese students, on government scholarships, come for higher studies.
