SAARC golfers in Thimphu for amateur match

Golfers from SAARC member countries are arriving in Thimphu to take part in the Bhutan Amateur Open Tournament to be held at the Royal Thimphu Golf Club from December 19 to 22.

Around 50 amateur golfers from Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, India and the host Bhutan are competing in the tournament, which will be counted in the world amateur ranking.

In another sports news, a 20-member Nepalese judo team, including 15 players, left Kathmandu on Tuesday to participate in the Friendship Judo Championship and joint training camp to be held in Thimphu, Bhutan.

According to Nepal Judo Association, the training camp will be conducted from Thursday to Saturday (December 19-21) and the championship will take place on Sunday (December 22).
