Bhutan wins four medals in Taekwondo Championship

Bhutan has earned four bronze medals in the Second Mount Everest International Open Taekwondo Championship organised by Nepal Taekwondo Association in association with International Nepalese Taekwondo Association, Portland, USA.

Dorten Dorjee settled for third position along with Bhim Gautam of Australia in the Men’s 54 kg while Chhiring Dema jointly secured bronze medal Mira Kafle of Nepal in under 67 kg.

Similarly, Md Shahbaj of Pakistan and Tilak Bahadur Gurung of Bhutan jointly finished third in 68 kg. And Sonam Somo of Bhutan and Jade Milne of Australia finished joint third in women’s U57 kg.

Nepal ranked top in the list winning six gold, three silver and five bronze medals. The three-day event was attended by players from 10 countries.
