Bhutan lose second match to Sri Lanka

Bhutan lost second straight match in the 2014 SAFF Women’s Championship on Friday, following embarrassing defeat with Nepal in the opening match.

Bhutan lost the game to Sri Lanka by 3-0 in their second match of the third SAFF Women’s Championship being held at the Jinnah Stadium in Islamabad of Pakistan.

Achala Chitrani, Erandi Kumudumala and Praveena Perea of Sri Lanka scored one each goal on 20th, 40th and 88th minutes respectively.

With two matches loss, Bhutan is set to be eliminated from the first round of the game. Bhutan’s match with Pakistan on Sunday will just be a formality. With this win, Sri Lanka along with Nepal are set to advance for semi finals.
