Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay has planned to go on pilgrimage to India next week, travelling to holy cities and temples.
Tobgay along with spouse and a delegation will reach Varanasi, in Uttar Pradesh, on the morning of 16 January.
After a brief stay at a hotel at Nadesar, the PM and his team will go to Sarnath to see the Archeological Survey of India museum, Chaukhandi, Dharmrajika and Dhamekha Stupas, Mulgandhakuti Vihara temple and also the Bodhi tree.
From Sarnath he will travel to Kashi Vishwanath temple and later attend Ganga Aarti at Dashaswamedh Ghat.
He is also scheduled to visit Bodh Gaya before returning home.
