Young boy commits suicide in Salt Lake, US

In less than three days Bhutanese community leaders ‘successfully’ organised a “STOP SUICIDE” musical concert in easter US, a young boy took his life in western US.

A 15-year-boy from the Bhutanese community committed suicide in Salt Lake City, Utah on Wednesday.

The reasons for the committing suicide are not clear yet. Authorities have not made public the suicide notes left behind by the deceased.

The parents found their son dead when they returned from his school after consultation with teachers about his studies. He was a Year-10 student.

Though local police and paramedics were called immediately, they could not save him. This is the first suicide case in Bhutanese community of Salt Lake city.

The family had resettled to US from Khudunabari camp in eastern Nepal.
