BBIN transport trial to begin in November

Ministers sign the pact in Thimphu
Ministers from four countries sign the transport connectivity pact in Thimphu in June this year

The trial run of passenger transport for regional connectivity between Bangladesh, India, Bhutan and Nepal will be held from November 14 to December 1 this year.

Six probable routes have been decided so far.

Representatives of the four countries will participate in a motor rally which will begin on November 14 from Odisha in India and will enter Bangladesh on November 28 through Akhaura, travelling through Bhubaneswar, Nepal, Bhutan, Assam, and Tripura on the way.

The four countries had early this year agreed to boost road connectivity to make it easy for public to travel across the sub-region.
