Bambawale called back from Bhutan

India media say Indian ambassador to Bhutan Gautam Bambawale has been transferred to Pakistan as High Commissioner.

Ambassador Gautam Bambawale will be taking over as High Commissioner to Pakistan effective from January, 2016.

However, there are not reports who would replace Bambawale in Thimphu.

Bambawale, India’s 16th ambassador to Bhutan, will serve for 16 months only when he leaves Thimphu early next year. He replaced former Ambassador VP Haran, who served for 18 months.
