Bhutanese Kirats celebrate Guru’s birth anniversary
Kirati followers among the exiled Bhutanese have celebrated 133rd birth anniversary of their revered Guru Falgunanda last week.
The celebration lasted for three days. It was organised by Kirat Mangpolung Manghim. The final day of the celebration included a peace march and prayers.
A new building was unveiled on the occasion, which would now serve as the organisation’s office. The building was constructed with support from resettled Kirat followers in memory of Sanman Sawa, who died nine month ago in a road accident. Resettled in US, Sawa was on a visit to Nepal, to see relatives and friends.
