Nepali feature film based on the story of the exiled Bhutanese ‘Desh Khojdai Jada’ (in Search of a Nation) has been named the best feature film at the Nepal International Film Festival, film producer Prakash Angdembe said.
Over 40 films were screened at the festival held in Pokhara from February 2 to 4, hosted by Nepal Film and Cultural Institute.
According the organiser, the winner will receive NRs 50,000 and trophy.
The short film, which depicts the revolution, feelings and woeful plights of the exiled Bhutanese, is directed by Prakash Angdembe. It is Angdembe’s debut project, for which he spent 5years in research and surveys.
