Music lovers unite in US

The first convention of the Bhutanese American Music Association (BAMA) has concluded over the weekend with the formation of the national executive committee.

The convention held in Atlanta, Georgia (US) and attended by almost 100 enthusiasts from music industry, approved the conversion of the existing ad hoc committee into the executive committee, with three-year term of leadership.

The ad hoc committee was formed in June last year.

Bikash Rai is the chairperson, Khem Rizal is vice-chairperson, Lamin Tamang is the secretary, Naresh Gautam is the assistant secretary and Tika Lamichaney is the treasurer.

Similarly, other executive committee members include Amber Subba and Damber Khapung.

The convention felicitated Pratap Subba and unveiled an music album.
