PF initiates establishing community centre
Punya Foundation, who has successfully run educational charity for last few years, has announced that it will lead the mission to establish a community centre in South Australia.
A statement issued by the foundation says, a team named Bhumi Australia of the foundation, will shoulder the responsibility to hold consultation, campaign and fund raise in future.
“Several meetings have taken place as of now between the Foundation and BHUMI Australia culminating to the concept of Hamro Community Centre, much broader than spiritual centre,” the statement signed by Foundation’s Australia CEO Tilchand Sapkota reads.
Bhumi Australia is led by former Principal of Tri Ratna Secondary School Govinda Bhattarai.
Executive Director of the foundation Dr Lakshmi Dhakal told Bhutan News Network that the centre, which will be named ‘Hamro Community Centre’, will be a common place for all community members.
Similar initiative taken by Bhutanese Australian Association of South Australian a few years ago has remained stagnant.
